About

Who is GLE Performance

GLE was created with the lacrosse player in mind. We are not just a facility but a facility built with purpose - to teach, train and transition your body to be in the best lacrosse shape possible. GLE trainers are lacrosse players themselves and know the best drills, strength training and equipment needed to play at your pinnacle level. Our state-of-the art technology allows you to see your lacrosse performance in action and improve upon it. We are the only facility on Long Island that combines these things to create the best lacrosse players at all levels - a fully integrated, elite training program.

What does GLE stand for

The “GLE” in GLE Performance stands for Goal Line Extended. In the game of lacrosse, “goal line extended” represents the extension of the goal posts to the sidelines. In many of the world’s most popular sports, the goal line is the last stand for the defense and the final push for the offense. For us, the goal line represents more than just a scoring opportunity. At GLE Performance the goal line symbolizes our athlete’s aspirations from day-one. The goal is for our students to develop as athletes in order to achieve their own personal end goals. For some that may be pursuing their sport at a collegiate level, and for others it may be securing a starting spot on their varsity squad.

Cody Swing

Cody Swing is an Ithaca College graduate who started his career in Northport, NY. From a young age, Cody excelled at athletics and realized his true love for sports. At Northport High School Cody was a captain of both his varsity football and lacrosse team. With a desire for motivation and inspiration, Cody helped lead both teams to playoff runs in Long Island's A-division. The summer going into senior year of high school, Cody was invited to participate in the Long Island Suffolk/ Nassau Lacrosse game. This game helped Cody get scouted by Ithaca College’s head coach Jeffrey Long. Cody played under coach Long for four years and helped his team to two conference championships and two NCAA Tournament runs. Cody ended his career with all-conference honors and graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Emerging Media. After College, Cody continued his education at Hofstra University where he earned the credential of Certified Personal Trainer-Exercise Fitness Specialists(CPT-EFS).

Throughout his undergraduate studies, Cody was constantly envisioning and proposing new ways to incorporate emerging technologies with athletic development. This is what lead to the creation of GLE Performance.

Our Training Room

The GLE training room is not like any other training facility on Long Island. All of our weights and equipment were specifically selected for getting our athletes fit for the lacrosse field. For our private training we start in the weight room to get players game ready and then transition their conditioning to lacrosse skills training on our turf field.
